Preferred Drug List (PDL) and the Preferred Drug List Advisory Committee (PDLAC)
The Preferred Drug List Advisory Committee (PDLAC) evaluates evidence-based research reviews created through a multi-state collaborative called the Drug Effectiveness Review Project. The committee determines whether, based on the evidence, all medications in a certain drug class are therapeutically equivalent or not. If not, the committee determines which drug(s) are clinically superior within the class.
