IT Service Mission

The Wyoming Department of Health Information Technology Services' mission is to work in partnership with Department of Health Programs to optimize the use of information technologies to meet business challenges and to foster citizen self-sufficiency in using those technologies while providing the following:

  • Faster, easier, more cost-effective, accurate information services to the public through automating WDH services and by empowering WDH employees with office automation tools and technology.
  • Support services and relevant technologies that empower and assist our employees in the accomplishment of their missions.
  • Focused citizen-driven solutions, coordinated information technology planning, cost-effective tools, and timely technical services.
  • Ensure that the Department of Health’s future technology needs and Information Management Services are planned, strategically aligned, and prioritized according to WDH needs and objective

IT Support Services

Service Desk

The Service Desk is the single point of contact for all WDH-IT Services, to direct questions and report problems. In response, the Service Desk will resolve the issue, help the user maximize use of applications and equipment or distribute the call to the appropriate staff. The Service Desk works with IT Field Support personnel to maintain high levels of service to the user community through communications, reliability and quality of services provided.

The WDH-IT Service Desk can be reached from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday by calling 307-777-5940 or by email at: wdhservicedesk@wyo.gov.

Field Support

Field Support provides direct and indirect IT assistance for daily field office operations and scheduled technology rollout of software and hardware.

IT Infrastructure Services

Operations

Operations provides direct support for end users involving technology devices such as PDAs, laptops, computers, projectors, Tandberg video conferencing systems and related applications. This involves creating, deploying and maintaining of these related devices.  Imaging of department computers, CD/DVD duplication, VHS/DVD translation as well as various other multi-media services are also available.  IT support of Dept/Division/Program events involving multi-media presentations or video conferencing can be coordinated to the need of the event.
