Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs: CHIPRA Quality Demonstration Grants,

“Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA)”:

Wyoming was awarded a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) CHIPRA Demonstration Grant! Maryland, Georgia and Wyoming submitted a joint application to implement and/or expand a Care Management Entity (CME) provider model using High Fidelity Wraparound and Intensive Care Coordination to improve the quality and cost of care for serious emotional disorders (SED), Medicaid and SCHIP children.

During the 5 year grant period, FY2010 – FY2015, Wyoming’s Grant Amount is about $450,000 per year. While Maryland manages the Grant, a local multi-agency Governor’s Planning Team for At Risk Youth and Families Committee (PTAC) through the CHIPRA Steering Committee manages and coordinates the local effort.
