Topic: 4th National Summit on Smokeless and Spit Tobacco

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Description: The mission of the Summit is to “raise awareness of smokeless and spit tobacco issues and to provide solutions to the serious health and economic effects for society.” Keynote, Plenary Sessions and Panel Discussions will bring internationally acclaimed speakers together intent on combating smokeless and spit tobacco.   The theme of the National Summit on Spit and Smokeless Tobacco is “Building a Firm Foundation.”  The goal of the Summit is to build a firm foundation of combating smokeless and spit tobacco use using the building blocks that are the breakout sessions and group sessions that span the three days.  The breakout sessions will include concurrent sessions for:  Youth Advocacy; Cultural Competency; Communication and Counter-Marketing; Advocacy; Cessation and Clinical Systems, and Policy Development and Program Planning.
