Health Facilities Task Force to Meet in Evanston Tuesday
The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) Facilities Task Force will meet Tuesday (May 6) in Evanston to continue discussing the roles and needs of the state’s public healthcare facilities.
Next week’s meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wyoming State Hospital, which is located at 831 Hwy 150 South.
WDH operates five healthcare facilities: Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander, Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyoming Pioneer Home in Thermopolis and the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming in Buffalo.
The Wyoming Legislature approved a measure earlier this year creating the task force, which includes legislative and executive branch appointees. The group is charged with developing strategies and recommendations on the use, financing, populations served, services offered, building status and construction needs for WDH healthcare facilities.
