A cross-curricular, standards-based, age appropriate toolkit developed by the Environmental Protection Agency. The kit includes classroom activities and a UV sensitive Frisbee and is available at no cost for the EPA.

Block-the-sun-not-the-fun curriculum for 2nd though 4th graders. All materials can be downloaded from the site. The page comes with 4 lesson plans on sun-safety, one family-activity game, and a student diploma.
Project S.A.F.E.T.Y.

A three-lesson CD-ROM with an accompanying 80-page Teacher's Guide. It was developed by science and health educators. Uses the classroom to deliver accurate information about the consequences of overexposure to ultraviolet radiation and its role in the development of skin cancer. Focusing on children in grades 4-12.

The SunSafe Programs are free and fun community-wide tools that preschools, schools, sports teams, town recreation programs, parents, and health care providers can use to promote sun protection among children. SunSafe offers program materials appropriate for two age groups. SunSafe in the Early Years is for children aged 2-9. SunSafe in the Middle School Years is aimed at teens. Both programs offer teachers, principals, coaches, lifeguards, clinicians, and parents’ fun and educational ways to learn about UV radiation and reduce the risk of skin cancer

Sun Safety for Kids

A site developed by Los Angeles area dermatologist to assist school administrators in making their schools sun-safe. The site suggests policies geared toward school policy, education, and environment. It provided very specific examples as to what kind of hats to wear, sunscreen to use, sunglasses and clothing, and environmental needs.
