Anna Maria Weston Community Wheelchair
and Equipment Clinic
The Anna Maria Weston Therapeutic Equipment Center located at WLRC conducts monthly Wheelchair and Equipment Repair/Maintenance Clinics around the state for individuals served by the Medicaid Home and Community-Based Developmental Disabilities Child, Adult, and Acquired Brain Injury Waivers.
These clinics are conducted by a team of skilled Equipment Specialists and Occupational Therapist.
During the clinic, the team performs preventative maintenance/repair on wheelchairs and items such as shower chairs, toileting chairs, etc. These clinics are for repair and maintenance only, assessments for new wheelchairs will not be conducted. Adjustments to wheelchairs can be made within the limits of the equipment. Individuals are not charged for this service. State and federal funds are utilized for payment. Assistance is also available for issues on positioning equipment such as sidelyers and quadrupeds if requested.
